8C2 = 8 (8-1) / 2 = 8 * 7 / 2 = 4 * 7 = 28 combinations
ReplyDeleteYou mean, there are 16 teams in each team plays exactly one game? If so, there are 2 ^ 8 = 256 possible outcomes, because there are 2 possible outcomes of each game are (becoming a team wins or the other) and there are 8 games. It works on the principle of multiplication.
